What is your view of Christian Nationalism?

As a Christian, I am in no way in favor of theocracy, however, I do believe Christians have a duty to be involved in the affairs of society to make the world a better place, just like everyone else. In that sense, there is no, or at least should not be, a separation of church and state.

But let's be honest, the term Christian Nationalism has been coined by the Left to be interpreted Nazi Fascist as it has become one of those dog whistle terms to identify evil in the world.

However, if being a Nationalist is Hitler like, something you refuse to participate in because you are soooo much more righteous than those concerned with their nation, why do you participate in politics? Are you there to promote global interests instead of national interests, or something else altogether?

Christian Nationalism is bad news. No religion should be given an elevated status above the other religions. And mainly this crap is coming from Protestants. I have to laugh when I hear Protestants on here saying Catholics aren't really Christians. They don't seem to understand they wouldn't exist if it weren't for the Catholics. In idealism, Communism looks good. In practice, not so much. Everything must operate on all cylinders. And it doesn't as it controls everything and if some of it does not go well, it affects the rest of it. The Chinese has found some form of capitalism with their system at the production level.

Sure. But politics makes people check their common sense at the door. People think religious beliefs trump political beliefs, but I know better. It’s not even close.

Christians, like every other American, should participate in politics and government. What I dislike are clergy that use their position to coerce people to vote for one or another candidate implying they know what God would do, e.g., the Pope should never 'say you'll go to hell if you vote for Trump'.
