Tom Depsey with half a foot beat the Detroit Lions with a then record setting field goal from New Orleans own 37-yard-line. It saw it on replay; my brother watched it live while attending college in Toledo.

FIrst of all, it is SOCCER not Football
It is played on a Soccer Field not a Pitch
When the score is 1-0 it is One Nothing not One Nil
Run the clock from 45min to 0 not 0-45
When you reach zero, there is no extra time that nobody but the ref knows

It's played with FEET far more than the sport you call football.

It's played on a pitch in the UK.

It's one-nil in the UK

The clock goes forward everywhere else, so why not in FOOTBALL?

Not extra time, that's when you have a cup game that ends in a DRAW (not a tie, who wears a neck tie when playing FOOTBALL?) it's INJURY TIME or ADDED TIME.

Rarely is an actual shot on goal made

If you have ADHD, then watch basketball where there's a throw at the basket every five seconds. If you don't think TikTok is a little slow, then you might see soccer as something different. You move the ball around to try and make openings to get towards the goal.

It's like chess, not like snap.

The biggest problem is out of a 3 hour long contest about 5 minutes is mildly interesting and the other 2 hours and 55 minutes is guys playing keep away in the middle of the field.

I used to watch NASL and MSL but just can’t get into the sport anymore, never have watched or got interested in the World Cup, to me it is boring and I am tired of soccer fans telling us that soccer will be the number one sport in 10 years, I have been hearing that for decades, still behind, football, baseball, basketball, hockey as it has been for decades, but it will get there in 10 years! lol!

I've enjoyed all of the matches I've caught so far.

But you can definitely see the drop-off from club soccer where you collect the best talent regardless of nationality. I was back home in Texas this past weekend and I was pretty perturbed that I couldn't attend the Netherlands/Sweden match-up. The organizers want way too much for a ticket.
