Isn't it the goal of the left to make everyone dependent on government programs? It isn't republicans looking for the government to solve their problems.

I was referring to the left having other people pay for their needs by calling them rights. The general erosion of people caring for themselves and the generation of multitudes in generational poverty. Then patting themselves on the back about how helpful they are.

For a Trump supporter, meritocracy includes white male privelege. Women are good but their place is at home taking care of the kids, not taking jobs away from white males. On merit women tend to beat men in many professions. Trumpers do not want the brainiac asians pushing their kids out of college's just because their test scores are better and their grades are higher. if a racial minority gets a job over a white man it must be because affirmative actio. No racial minority is as good as a white man. Don't let immigrants in legally because they are willing to work harder and for less money than white men.
Meritocracy - BULLSHIT - just the opposite.
Trump's base is many people who cannot compete for the jobs of the 21st century. They do not have the skills. They blame everybody but themselves for not having the skills.

Trump supporter love him, worship him, will do anything he says. They are beyond supporters. Most who voted for Trump were not Trump supporters.
Very few of the Biden voters were avid supporters of the man. He was the best alternative. An alternative and not a savior. An imperfect person just like we all are. An imperfect president.
Trump supporters cannot see any imperfections in their cult leader. He can do no wrong.
