A deep operation consists in breaking through the front in a critical sector to the entire depth of separation and further maneuvers in the rear. These can be sabotage, destruction of supplies, encirclement, attack from the rear, and so on.

The attack must be ensured by the penetration power of armored vehicles, and maneuvers in the rear must be fast.

This is inherited from the cavalry.

In the 20s and early 30s in the USSR, this was developed by such specialists as Tukhachevsky, equestrian general Budyonny and Triandophilov. In 1937, many were repressed, and the theory was rejected. This caused heavy losses at the beginning of the war.

How did Obama's "Operation Fast and Furious" work out?
No.
But Operation Fast & Furious was anti-Obama. Obama simply couldn't do anything about it. Obama is the one who started the betrayal of America's interests in the world - he started by destroying the missile defense project in Eastern Europe.
