There is no such thing as “trickle down Democrat greed”. That’s a term you just pulled out of your ass. But it does speak volumes about your knowledge of the economy.
You haven’t a clue how anything in your country works. Your entire post is a world salad of things you hear the grown ups talking about.
If your wife bought a property 35 years ago, why wasn’t the mortgage paid off 10 years ago? You’d have to be completely stupid to take out a mortgage with an amortization period longer than 25 years.
The US economy has been run under REPUBLICAN tax and labour laws since 1981. Regardless of whether you live in a red state or a blue state, the basic economic structures for the nation are those established by Washington.
Every Republican Administration since Reagan, has crashed the US economy, except Bush 41, but he set the stage for his son’s problems by negotiating and signing the NAFTA Agreement before leaving office.
The 7 times bankrupt Donald Trump, is going for his second economic collapse and is very close to achieving it. Job creation numbers are dipping into the negative for no reason other than his misguided policies.
It’s ironic that the very Wall Street bankers who stopped lending to the fiscally challenged Trump because of his financial history, now have to suck up to Trump and do his bidding, while he destroys the economy yet again.
Of course the wealthy and the Wall Street fat cats get wealthier faster in a crashed economy, so maybe they don’t mind so much.
You are so ignorant and stupid.
Good thing you are retired.
A majority of Democrats hired and elected to government have those taxpayer funded income sources as their only legitimate ones. Few have owned or managed any for-profit businesses. They live off of the taxpayer tit, along with "speaking" and "consulting" fees, a.k.a. graft for their votes.
I've a far better grasp of how my country works and also your country. As I've said often here, the Canadian license plates I see at our Kroger, Costco, and other retail stores, filling jerry cans with petrol and pushing out shopping carts filled with milk and dairy speak volumes on the state and quality of your economy up North.
The Canadian license plates in our medical clinic parking lots speak volumes about the long waiting periods for medial treatment your people have to deal with.
If you were to look at the "World Debt Clocks" tab on the following website you will see that Canada has nearly twice the 'Debt to GDP' that the USA has. Doesn't suggest your economy is better than ours.
Also look through that "time machine" tab, which goes back to 1980 and you'll see we've had no "crash" in our economy, which you fail to document/prove BTW.
Only reason you have many foreigners sneaking into your country is so they can cross the border into ours.
The USA carries the bulk of your nation's defense load.
As for my wife and her mortgage record.
For decades the standard mortgage in the USA has been for 40 year terms. As a single working mom with two kids (their father was a molester and never paid child-support) she managed to barely qualify for a Farm Home Administration loan in 1990 and her lower end income meant she was mostly paying interest and very little towards principle. When I moved in and we married in 2007, we had to refinance, so basically started that process over again (30 year term). We then refinanced a few years ago when interest rates had dropped significantly(15 year term). This is way more about my/our personal finances I wish to share and I doubt we'll ever see comparable candor and honesty from you (Per your post I'm replying to it seems you rarely get facts correct anyway)
And if you weren't a flaming Marxist and had any real experience in the for-profit economic world where wealth is created, you'd realize there are no guarantees for success and bankruptcies happen. Especially if like Trump you have partners who don't hold their end of the deal and leave you with salvaging the pieces.
Final point, our tax and labor laws are bi-partisan creations. The Democrats have an equal role in some, and have played the dominate role in many.
