Socially? I like to arrive early, in case the host/hostess needs a hand with preparation.

Professionally, I like to arrive early. If it's a doctor appointment, there's always a chance I can be gotten in early, then have some spare time on my hands.

We have a group that meets for Pinochle here. We always have a pot luck before the games, but there never seems enough time for visiting.
