The assertion that "all men are created equal" was of no practical use in effecting our separation from Great Britain; and it was placed in the Declaration, not for that, but for future use. Its authors meant it to be, thank God, it is now proving itself, a stumbling block to those who in after times might seek to turn a free people back into the hateful paths of despotism. They knew the proneness of prosperity to breed tyrants, and they meant when such should re-appear in this fair land and commence their vocation they should find left for them at least one hard nut to crack.

We see this today. Observe liberals who have never suffered a day in their lives, who have never seen war...who run around claiming that Christians who are open about their religion should not be allowed to vote, to run for office, to sit in office; and that those who dare allow morality to reckon in their political views should be shunned.
Killing babies and ostracizing Christians is not "freedom" folks, it's egregious tyranny, and it's no different than the enslaving of the black people or the genocide of Jews. Both of those events occurred innocently enough, under the auspices of logic and intelligence. The slave trade is made palatable by those who claim that slaves "need" someone to watch over them and take care of them.....Hitler made the holocause palatable by telling Germans that Jews were a threat to them and couldn't be trusted.
Compare that with obvious hatred of some posters for Christians, and the justifications they provide when they make ridiculous claims..for example, they should be excluded from office, or that any Christian who holds certain beliefs is a "threat" based upon their beliefs. These people expect Christians to cower in a corner, pretend they aren't Christian, and vote against their beliefs, because if they do otherwise, why, then THEY are inflicting their beliefs on others.
We need to keep our eye on this sort of behavior, because it is by this road that human rights are violated, tyranny is established, and acts of horror are committed right under the nose of the populace.
