What Income Class are you? Lower class, Middle class, Upper Middle Class, Upper Class or Top 1%?

So if you are $12,001-$43,759? Upper lower, lower, middle class?
If you are $61261-$92,999 are you high lower, middle, lower middle class?

Sorry but I have no idea what the heck you are wanting to know and why your numbers and classification makes absolutely zero sense.

Are you running for office?
I would just go with this one source.

Lower class: under $12k net worth.
Lower middle class: $12k - $61k
Middle class; $61k -$1.04m
Upper middle class; $1.04m a $2.5m
Upper class; $2.5m up
Top 1%; $11.6m to $13.7m and up

But this highlights why dumbasses who don’t work and don’t file tax returns shouldn’t have ANY say on tax policy. This is how it was in the 19th century. We should return to that.

So you believe that men who have spouses that don’t go to work should not be able to vote?

So people who don’t vote should be exempt from all taxes, sales, fuel, county, ect?
Those are local issues. I’m talking about federal income tax policy. Dumbasses who don’t file shouldn’t get a say.

I suspect most of my peers in the 70+ age group (if they stay married to the same woman) are in the "upper class" as far as that BS in the OP goes but I sure as hell don't know any that act in such a manner.

I'll be the first to admit that the bulk of their wealth came to them in the form of inheritance when their parents died.

A friend just put 1.4 million in the bank from the death of his wife's aunt and still has two of her houses yet to sell. I figure he will clear around 2M by the time it's all said and done and he's so tight he squeaks when he walks.

Meh, and the wheel goes round-n-round.

I would think if you have $500K in stock and it loses half its value like in the Obama recession, you would worry.
Yea, because that never happened. I invested for all of the Obama years. My returns were all positive, albeit modest.

I knew you didn't have a pot to piss in.

I was offered 200K for just three acres the other day.....It's just fuckin' nuts.
Honestly, I would think it's worth more than that if in a prime location. I know someone who bought a tiny lot on my street with a tiny house for $100K, only to tear it down and build a McMansion. This lot is probably 60 feet wide.

You don't have to answer publicly if you don't want, but here are the class breakdowns of class in terms of net worth. These ranges vary according to source: Those used: Yahoo Finance, Forbes, and Investopedia. Here are the ranges

Lower Class: Net worth of $12,000 and under
Lower Middle Class: $43,760 to $61, 260
Middle Class: $93,000 to $1.04 million. Media: $204,100.
Upper Middle Class: $201,800 to $269,100.
Upper Class: $2.5 million or more.
Top 1% $11.6 to $13.7 million.

To me, the upper class are the types that send their kids to private boarding schools, having mansions in multiple cities, travel regularly on charter planes, have personal assistants and such. I see the net worth level there being $50 million. That is Hollywood money or NYC CEO money.

A financial planner I know says the threshold at which investors no longer worry about ups and down of the stock market is about $2 million net worth. Anything under that, they sweat the down days.
Where the **** did you get the idea the middle class is making a million dollars a year?

That's just it, the whole thing is zoned recreational and in a flood plain. I did get the upper part to perk (dug the perk hole and tested it myself just for giggles) but nobody knows that.

Hell since I've owned the property (a three acre parcel that adjoins my more expansive river property) I've seen 5' of water covering it a couple times and lesser amounts many times.

Blah, I guess someone could fill enough of it in to stick a house on it but I don't want a house overlooking the rest of my property. The main reason I bought it was to let it grow up to keep prying eyes along the state road away.....Once it grew out it made for damn good deer cover.

15th post
Yea, I would never sell that for someone else to build on, especially if you don't need the money. That land will only appreciate, if its in a flood plain, a developer could fix that, but green spaces in congested areas are disappearing fast. Once they're gone, they are gone for good.

By that scale, I'm middle class.

Leisure class. I'm retired, drawing a pension and Social Security. But I do have a real part-time job that finances my powder, primers, bullets, and other reloading supplies. My wife also draws SS and has a full-time job teaching at a Christian school.
