What If The President Was Mormon?

You mean like, "It's all a vast, right wing conspiracy" or "It's a violation of separation of church and state"?

Yeah, I see your point.

Intellectual upgrade! And easier on the eyes, hoooo mama.

I certainly won't argue that Laura bush is hotter than Jessica Simpson. But I would argue that Laura Bush is quite attractive for her age.

Exactly, the left does it too... but here you have the President of the United States saying with his own free will the exact same garbage that scum like Hitler's propaganda agent spewed. Surely you can drop your partisan shield to recognize that there is a huge problem!

Maybe he means like, "Clinton balanced the budget", or "It was only about sex."

No, it is not the exact same thing, it's just another lame attempt to associate Bush with Hitler. In fact, what President Bush said is quite the opposite from Goebbels. Look at the quote again.

See in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda.

Assuming you know what a catapult is, it should be obvious what he is saying. He has to repeat himself over and over again to make people believe the truth and to make the propaganda get thrown far away.

It's really quite simple, but you shouldn't feel bad for not getting it. I'm sure you're a good man, and you try hard.

Are you kidding me? You are brainwashed bro, and your partisanship is horrendous. That is one helluva stretch, points for effort though.

A common cliche' is, "Just catapult yourself into the ring." If I have to explain the correlation then we really have a problem.

Aside from that... you obviously didn't even watch the clip. Seriously, click on the link and watch the clip to the 20 minutes 50 seconds mark... then you will see how clueless this guy really is.

Silly me, i thought this might be a discussion on Governor Romney possibly throwing his hat in the ring in 08.

One hell of a stretch? Look, bonehead, a 7 year old could understand this. He's talking about telling the truth and catapulting propaganda. What do you do when you catapult something, even if it's into the ring? You throw it away from where it is. He's saying he needs to keep hammering at the truth so when people bring up their propaganda like...oh, let's just say...constantly comparing the President to Hitler or Nazis, the truth will win out.

Oh, and "catapult yourself into the ring" is not a common phrase. "Throw your hat in the ring", "Jump in the ring" maybe, but not "catapult yourself into the ring".

You must be new to America...

Anyway, you are clueless. You are so blinded by your partisan loyalty that you simply can't see anything. I am serious. Watch the ******* clip.

Ummmm, John - You may want to review the old cliche about living in a glass house.

You accuse others of partisanship, perhaps rightly so, but you're blind to your own foibles. You and a couple of others on the board seem to spend your entire day with your nose to the ground, sniffing out the scent of yet another "Bushism". So I find it rather comical that you criticize in others the partisanship which you yourself so rabidly pursue.

But here's a thought for you and all the rest of your left-wing, Bush-hating brethren to consider. George Bush IS our president. Like it or not, that's a fact. But you seem to be unable to accept that. Instead you continue to throw your little tantrums like a spoiled two year old whose favorite toy has been taken away.

Why are you Bush haters so obsessed that you would rather revile the President than consider the best interest of our nation and our military? Have you never slowed to think that your petty finger pointing, your constant bickering and your inability to accept the will of the majority are all detrimental to our nation and to our military?

Take a hard, objective look at the leftist rabble with whom you seem to identify. They are self-absorbed, me-first, selfish, self-centered, elitists who believe themselves to be the intellectual superiors of those of us in the "red" states". They are contemptuous of any opinion which differs from their's. They care only for their agenda, and nothing for the good of the country. They are Americans only in the sense that they reside in this country and have achieved citizenship by accident of birth.

That's what we need to get back to, John. Both liberals and conservatives need to consider not what is best for Democrats or Republicans, but what is best for the country. We need to balance your lust for reviling the President against the damage that does to our country in the eyes of those who would destroy our nation and our way of life.

Quit looking into the gutter for your information. Look up and see the flag at the top of the pole and remember that you're an American and you have an obligation to that flag.

But back to if the president were mormon... at least he'd have a nice foundation in Utah.

See if you can figure out this anagram:

Mormon
_______ /7

Muslim

Answer: Mormon over muslim any day of the week.

Galt: "But back to if the president were mormon..."

Guess you shut him up Merlin.

Bravo.

Apparently the concept of respecting the position even if you don't agree/respect the person holding it is foreign to him.

I don't have to watch the ******* clip, I've seen the speech. I just don't waste my time trying to twist everything someone says to mean something it obviously doesn't.

You say I am partisan, but your bias against President Bush may only be surpassed by your ignorance. The problem is not that I can't see, the problem is that you spend so much time looking for things that aren't there you can't see what is there slapping you in your stupid face.

Here's another example of a common phrase: Go play in the street, kid.

Yeah. he is also the guy who pulled the Salt Lake Games off back in 2002 and somehow managed to get himself elected governor of massachusetts as a republican. Haven't really seen what his political stances are though. i doubt he is completely open about them in Mass.

Our current President already has a nice foundation in Utah. Utah is a pretty strong Republican state. Too bad it has so little electorial votes.

Hey bro... I am a Republican...

I just disagree with alot of President Bush's actions. That's all. I don't hate the man, I think he was the best we had in the election (at least between the two people that actually had a chance). However, with things like expansions to the patriot act and fiscal irresponsibility.... I tend to wish we had a MORE republican president.

Don't make the mistake of thinking I'm a liberal. I'd be insulted... that is if you knew me.

Okay, his post was on the bottom last part of the page so when I saw mine posted on the top of a new one I figured that I had the last post. Sorry for trying to end the dead-end pissing contest between Jimmy and I...
