Something people need to understand, now, and I mean right NOW -- The vast, overwhelming majority of people who live in poverty do so because they WANT to, not because they HAVE to. Sometimes I wonder if I wouldn't be better off, happier, if I were as poor as a Church Mouse. Nothing to worry about losing, no stress, nobody trying to steal my shit....... No taxes. Just living day to day.
There's something to be said for that lifestyle and I have nothing bad to say about the old man sitting under the shade tree, strumming his old guitar in between sips of Thunderbird.
That's not to say there aren't millions in poverty who don't want to be there but of those millions, most aren't willing to work hard enough to get out of poverty. And the ones that are willing to work?
For them, Poverty is transitory. Everybody in here has been impoverished at one time in their lives. Everybody.
Even those spoiled brats among us who had a Bullshit College edumucashun paid for by Mommy and Daddy, they were impoverished while in School. I was impoverished for years whe I first got out of the Army. Also, after I got divorced (who hasn't that happened to?).
But I'm not anymore. Not wealthy but not poor either. Okay best describes my situation and I'm good with that that.
I am so sick and so tired of working class hero dildoes shouting about 'POVERTY'! every time they get back from a Communists International meeting.
