Will there be a special election? Do the 2nd place candidates in each party become the candidates? Do their Vice Presidential picks become the candidates? Frankly - I don't know. Any ideas?

Vice President gets the job of continuing to run usually....but not always. It's up to the Party to provide a candidate. Which usually is done by primary election...unless you are a Democrat and the primary is only a suggestion.

Electoral College....those are the real voters. People vote for electors whose vote really counts. Just ask AL Gore....one of his electors refused to vote for him or anyone (because of his behavior) and he got three shades of passed off.
