What do you know about the Vietnam War?

History will show the Russians lost 8x more Casualties in 3 years of Ukraine Conflict than we had in 11 Years of the Vietnam Conflict
Ukraine is a first World war, the Vietnam fighting was in the jungle other than the US frenzied Genocidal bombing, i also question your numbers of casualties.

We know the US Casualties in Vietnam conflict well , the Russians had that many Casualties in the first 4 months in Ukraine

Another racist Trope, do Chinese and Russians not love their friends and families like anyone else?
Racist?

Russians are white, chinese are not

I guess when you are stumped for a valid argument you just play the race card

I think #2 is A.

I know this because about 73,000 Americans were killed every year in Vietnam, which is equivalent to how many Americans die every year from Fentanyl overdoses coming across the border and funded by your comrades who are the communist Chinese.

Woopsie, no one cares about that, do they.

How do you explain Korea then?
The U.S. military was a superior fighting force, with superior leadership, to the North Korean and Chinese armies. Neither had seen the type of strategic warfare that the U.S. had employed less than a decade earlier in Europe and the Pacific.

This certainly would not be possible today.

That does not answer my question. Leaving aside the fact that the US military was a superior fighting force to the Vietnamese too, why would the Koreans fight for an occupier when the Vietnamese and Afghanis did not?

I don't know, I only know the war ended in a truce and partition of the country at the 38th parallel, somewhere I have visited.

It was the beginning of the end of Western colonalism of SE Asia. There is no Western appetite to support prolonged fighting as an occupier like this anymore, even though the Republican Party tried to revive this in Iraq.

It, too, ended in disaster.

We still have troops in Korea today.

You implied that Russians and Chinese don't value the lives of their people like we do.
50 years ago today the American flag was lowered.

Yes and the Country is still being Demined and kids still born deformed because of US chemical warfare it was one of the biggest crimes of the 20th century, the US has cut aid off for the Demining.

They died for the Industrial military complex and nothing else and some of you still don't get it and probably never will, because you are still making the same dumb mistakes today.
Preppies Owe Vietnam Vets 60,000 Lives

The purpose of the war was to kill off or take the fight out of Americans born in the White working class. Mission Accomplished.

It was also the country of the people there who did not want to see it fall to Communism. They didn't get to govern how they wished.

Many of those people - the ones who didn't die in the "reeducation camps" - were chased out of the country and had to come to the US who took them in and gave them new lives. Here in San Jose where I live there are a lot of their kids and grandkids - one of my 18 yo daughter's best friends is a 3rd generation Vietnamese-American. Which is great. Vietnam's loss is our gain.

Like you said, that was their choice. There was a cold war going on and the world for better or worse was divided into two ideologically incompatible camps. Vietnam chose to reject the west and the First World and they chose to align themselves with the Communists. They were free to trade with Maoist China, the Soviet Union (and their impoverished Eastern Europe puppets), and the Communist utopia in Cuba.
Allowing These Immigrants Was an Insult to Vets

The Boat People were Chickenhawks. The South Vietnamese were cowards, crooks, and collaborators. Defending that trash made us lose the war, which never should have been nation-building but strictly to destroy North Vietnam.
