What did our founders really mean when they said “general welfare”?

The Preamble is the dead founding father's statement on the meaning and intent of the Constitution fuckup.
yep, exactly, it doesn't point to any one amendment, it is a summary of the intent of the amendments. The amendments are the law.

Our preamble was written in 1787 and free-shit / welfare wasn’t introduced until the 1930’s….If “promote the general welfare” meant free-shit for degenerate lowlife bottom feeders then why do you suppose we waited 140+ years to start handing out free-shit?

General welfare means do what is best for We the people

Easy, because we needed time to evolve from a rogue country of settlers and rebels to an economy world superpower. The founding fathers built the system to be able to evolve as the needs and will of the people evolves. They certainly didn’t expect the system to remain the same in perpetuity

GENERAL WELL BEING is not the same as GENERAL WELFARE and free land was being handed out to whites at the time the costitution was written.

In 1618, the Virginia colony passed "the Great Charter of privileges, orders, and laws." Among these laws was a provision that any person who settled in Virginia or paid for the transportation of another person to settle in Virginia would get fifty acres of land per person. “The right to receive fifty acres per person, or per head, was called a headright.” It got even better for colonists as those who “imported” slaves also got 50 acres per slave. The practice was continued by the government of Virginia, for 161 years, ending in 1779. Headrights were not only limited to Virginia. The headright system was used in all the original 13 colonies. Headrights were the first of many government handouts of free stuff or guarantees providing whites with economic development assistance.

Yes, they made an amendment process. But nobody tries to do that. They just pass unconstitutional BS and hope nobody challenges it.
