An economy that at one time was booming with Customer Service and telemarketing jobs. They were actually booming at one point.

That was perhaps 10 years ago, I'm not sure how they fare of late.

Best corned beef and cabbage I ever had, bar none, was cooked by my Japanese mother-in-law.

I think of my great aunt Jennie, an Irish war bride that my great uncle married. A lovely little woman who talked constantly from the time she got up until she went to bed. Sent us a box of homemade sugar and peanut butter cookies every summer. Most were all broken up, but we loved them anyway.

I grew up around old women. There were sugar-starched lace things everywhere.
