All 10 year olds do not but many do. You never know what they hear and see. To assume they don't hear and see the many things on social media is naieve. The key is to have your kids feel comfortable discussing anything they have questions about.

You need to teach your children to live in the world the way it is, not the way you wish it was.

The key is to prepare them to deal with challenges they may face no matter what they may be. To assume my kid will never face something will end up with you not giving them the tools to deal with it.
