Texas has over 118,000 folks in prison (not including county jails), that is state prisons etc... You're staying that represents over a million crimes (not counting the other 100,000 on parole)?

What, do you think criminals only commit one crime a day? No, they do them over and over until they either get tired, or make enough money to satisfy their immediate urges. They don’t break into one car, but ten, twenty or thirty in a row. Again you have watched too many movies and TV shows where master criminals plan months to commit one crime. In reality they commit crime after crime until they eventually get caught. Even then they don’t get into trouble until they get caught multiple times.

In the American Past we did not have these types of unfortunate numbers. None of this has anything to do with “systemic racism” which is a fake nonstarter because again the Indian, the black that you the white, you name it all of us come from slaves and slave owners.

One might make the argument that the black nuclear family was a bit stronger than the white nuclear family 100 years ago. There was actually a time for a few years in those days where the black divorce rate was lower than that of the white divorce rate.

With Father’s Day approaching, this is really unfortunate for the men black kids across the country, whose fathers are completely and totally out of the picture. Some of them might be in jail or just completely gone not even paying child support.

It mirrors the cdc report that shows black fathers who live with their children take a more active role in their lives than either white or Hispanic fathers and that black fathers who live apart from their children are far more likely to visit, call and talk to their children than white or Hispanic fathers living apart from their children.

That "twice as likely" statistic doesn't tell the whole story.

A divorced dad who fights in court to have as much visitation time as possible. and provides the required child support, plus more for holidays, back to school clothes, vacations, etc., is much different from a dude who knocks up multiple women, pays no child support and rarely if ever sees the child.

Yet both count as "fathers who live apart from their children.

As I've pointed out--white privilege--is this. At Main and 1st street a purse is snatched. A guy at the corner of main and 2nd street is white and a guy at the corner of main and 3rd street is black. The police are overwhelmingly more likely to question the black guy than the white guy. Both are behind on their child support. However, since the black guy was questioned...he's in jail; the white guy who committed the same offense is going home to his family.

There is nothing "systematic" about punishing criminals for the crimes they commit.

Not sure why this is being brought up again from 2024....

But since it has; my favorite case of clear white privilege and systematic racism is that Amber Guyger--Dallas cop murdered a black man in his own apartment because--according to her; she thought he was in her apartment. Once she shot him and realized that he (and she) was in fact, in his apartment...she didn't even try to do CPR as he died.

Her penalty? 2nd degree murder and 10 years. Ten whole years for murder. Had the situation been reversed, her victim, Botham Jean, would almost assuredly be on death row if not already executed.

Perhaps the most surprising thing about the whole affair is that Guyger is, surprisingly, still in jail in Texas. She's already eligible for parole. Stunning.
