My initial reaction was it was a little silly and the more hateful left would taunt them as more evidence of his 'narcissism'. But as it turned out, as a fund raiser it was an immediate success as all the cards sold out in one day raising $4.4 million. I doubt there are any other politicians that could have accomplished that. For one thing, I have no idea what digital cards or images are and how you can trade them. I am basically still living in the 90s or whatever.. don't keep up on technology much.
But in any case, I have mixed feelings about them.
Mostly, I just wonder if Trump ever considers what the next life is going to be like for him? I see that he has changed or appears to have changed from, say, 15 years ago when he was engaging in some pretty serious behaviors that we Catholics and many Protestants say lead people to Hell.. so I am concerned about his soul.. I mean, the trading cards may indicate he is still.. um.. shall we say, "in the world," not terribly concerned about the next world... ? Of course only God knows what's going on in anyone's heart or soul.. but anyhow...
I have read just about every book on Trump. The book by O'Reilly is more/less favorable to him, but talks about his high ambition for worldly gain and for fame (mostly in when he was younger..).. which I don't normally hold against him in light of the fact he was one of our best presidents. But again... I just wonder if he is.. shall we say, not sufficiently worried about his soul.. ?

The more important lesson is that announcement of the cards was just a blip in a far more important policy initiative in which as President he would restore free speech and take the partisanship out of government. The malicious MSM mocked the cards and ignored the far more important and very necessary policy initiative.
I also don't believe everything the more hateful left say about the way he has lived his life. The fact that his children adore him, his ex wives have not denigrated him, and he has used his money and influence for much good and never evil is commendable. But as to the status of his soul, I think that way above my pay grade to evaluate, and it is God's prerogative to judge him on that.
And yes, if we measure presidential effectiveness by positive results for all Americans, President Trump was the best President of my lifetime.
