I was born and raised in Washington State. You couldn't PAY me to live there now. They have become California Light. One County in Washington pretty much elects all the State wide positions, King County.

Once again, I don't even know what you want us to talk about here.

There was an open seat in a Democratic district.
There was an election.
There was a winner to the election.
The winner (surprise) was a Democratic, who is a critic of President Bush (like just about everybody else these days).

All in all, as you mentioned, not terribly surprising. Just democracy at work.

I think I should maybe start a thread which describes the amazing phenomenon exhibited by a traffic light in my town: it turns green, then after a while it turns yellow, but only remains yellow for a few seconds and then....get this.... it turns RED..and then, after a while, the entire cycle repeats itself. amazing, eh?
