What 1k in work tool boxes looks like.

I like those boxes. I could use that on my property where I have a shop, garage, home and office all at different locations. I am constantly leaving tools at one place while working at another location. I hate to admit it but, sometimes, when I can't find a tool, I go out and buy another. Later I find that I have duplicate tools.......LOL

best way to find a lost tool is to buy another one,,

that doesnt make any sense,,,

why do you carry so much stuff into the job sight when you dont need too???

a professional knows what he needs and only take that and maybe a little more,,

I ran a van since the early 90's after trying trucks that I had to unload everynight or when I went inside a store to keep stuff from getting stolen,,, it does have to be a 1 ton extended,,
heck I set pallets of bricks in the back of them along with just about anything you can get in a pickup truck

the price of tools isnt what makes a good tech,, knowledge does that,,
Well, the video does show you don't HAVE to take the whole kit-and-caboodle with you because the different units snap and unsnap together.

I had stuff I didn't immediately need at all times just in case for whatever reason I did need it. Nothing wrong with that.

I rip every bathroom down to studs and half to floor joists. On EVERY job I do concrete work, electrical work, plumbing work, framing adjustmens/repairs, I move plumbing rough in in almost every bathroom. I often have to remove rotten studs and insulation. Replace knob and tube wiring. Etc...

I know my job YOU do not so just give it a rest lol

Yeah but who needs a bunch of duplicates? Especially the expensive ones? But I hear ya, cheap tools for 1 or 2 uses sometimes makes sense.

a few posts before he said he takes everything in and all the parts he can think of,,

a pro knows what they need and only takes that,,

Do you carry plumbing parts in those? My problem in plumbing is that I NEVER have all the parts I need and, sometimes make 3 trips to the hardware/plumbing store before I get the right part. Yes, I am not a pro.

what you just described I did at volume levels where I had up to 28 units going at once,,,

I knew what the job was for the day and only took what I needed and still ended up crippled with a bad back to show for it,,

BULLSHIT.

No problem knows what he will find when he tears out walls and floors. A wise individual comes to work prepared.

I carry commonly used valves and parts yes. I also carry tons of pvc fittings. Nothing worse than being an hour into a major job only to have to leave to buy a stupid fitting

I hear ya but, I have noticed plumbers always have a van of some sort with almost every plumbing part. Easier to go to the van and pull the correct pipe, etc. without a trip to the store.

I see you've never had a cheap socket explode in your face from the torque of a half inch air gun.

when youre in the business duplicates are important, more so if you have employees or your shop isnt at your house,,

I was a pro, I never knew what all I needed until I had the tranny apart and scattered.

sure have parts in your van but he carries everything in which means he has to carry everything out,,,

and he uses a truck that leaves everything open to theft,,

It's only in my truck from point a to point b. Then it goes into the property.

You're being fucking anal for no reason
