Weird video about people living in poverty and wasting money on flashy clothes

This video makes me glad to live in the United States. I'm not sure what country is depicted in the video, except that is one strange culture. The people in that video are buying expensive, flashy clothes while they and their families continue to live in a slum and are sleeping on dirt floors instead of investing their money and eventually moving to a nicer place. I believe this is one of the reasons why America is so much more successful than most countries around the world. I've never seen Americans behaving like that.

I lived in a mostly ''AA'' hood
we had a family of 8 in a 1 bedroom house ..
...the house behind us was even smaller--but the guy had this HUGE caddy or Lincoln--I forget, but it was one of those big cars....sometime later the cops raided his house

The Virgin Islands made me think the same thing. They could buy a mattress for the price of an outfit, but many didn't.
