Company I worked for which previously scrambled to find people was laying them off in late 2019. Partially because Trump's idiot tariffs on China had screwed up production schedules and profitability.

No it wasn't. His tariffs were killing the economy. It's why GDP shrunk in Q-1 of 2020 before there were any covid deaths.
Not China's fault Trump failed to contain the virus after they gave him plenty of warning.
Again, China (and Japan, and South Korea, and Germany) did what we should have done. We didn't. We had people show up at their state capitols with guns because they couldn't go to Applebee's.
The US had the most Covid deaths because of Trump's inept leadership. At one point, the US had 25% of the world's COVID-19 deaths, despite having only 4% of its population. That's not on China, that's on us.
China is not our enemy. Our policies towards China are INCREDIBLY stupid. "Oh, let's fight the world's most populous country over some Islands that barely stick out of the water!!!" Man, that's fucking stupid. "Let's slap them with tariffs that will be paid by the American Consumer!" Man, that's idiotic. "Let's blame China for Covid even though we have Zero evidence other than it might have happened that way!"

Covid wasn't China's fault. The only difference is while they had very competent leaders who dealt with it, we had a game show host who was concerned if he was getting better ratings than "The Bachelor".
Why is no other country "holding China Responsible"? Are they all corrupt? Or is there simply nothing to hold them accountable for.
There's no slavery going on in China, unlike our Prison-Industrial Complex. We lock up more people than China does, a communist dictatorship with five times as many people.
