Did I at any time state that we would reach pre conflict prices immediately? I believe I was quite clear that there would be a substantial decrease in the price of oil as soon as the Straight of Hormuz was opened and then the price of oil would gradually decrease to where it was pre conflict. The analogy for price increases and decreases is that prices rise like a rocket and fall like a feather. Oil prices rose quickly. They will go down at a more leisurely pace but they will go down and importantly...people KNOW that they will be going down!

As for your contention that countries that have depleted their oil reserves will "hoard" oil as soon as oil prices start to go down? Why would a rational nation buy large amounts of oil at a price they know will be much lower in six months? The answer to that is they won't...they'll wait.
