I generally hold The Federalist at arm's length as a source but this opinion piece is pretty much spot-on.

It’s not natural or normal for women to be police officers, or soldiers, or firefighters. And we don’t have to pretend otherwise.
There’s a lot to say about the disturbing footage of a violent mob beating a man and woman in downtown Cincinnati, but one thing that shouldn’t go unsaid is that the outrageous and offensive response from Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge is yet another reminder that we should get women out of men’s spaces — and out of men’s professions.

Policing is a man’s profession. So is soldiering, and commercial fishing, and underwater welding, and so on. That’s not to say women shouldn’t be able to serve in clerical roles in a police force or in the military, but they have no business leading police departments or being deployed into combat areas.

This is, or should be, a commonplace observation. But ever since the sexual revolution of the 1960s and the rise of feminism, we’re all supposed to pretend that women can do any job that men can do. What nonsense.

Well, the "let them" be in those spaces if they want ship has sailed but it should be perfectly fine to also point and laugh at them when they fail, and say "you asked for this".

If they can do it. Fine. But if they are dying, failing, or messing up, (or worse, getting the men around them hurt/killed) they should be mocked no end with the truth without any repercussions.

Women can be tough as in kick any ass and be tough on the front line as well as doing triage in the medical tents.

Women deserve respect across the board!
Respect is earned. They earn it, they get it. They, like anyone else, don't get it otherwise.

Do you also advocate keeping men out of women's spaces? ... like schools and nurseries and corporate boardrooms ...

I spent my career in the building trades and women are a no-show ... nothing but men involved ... we occasionally get some young thing thinking she'll buck the trend ... until she meets some cute guy and now she's pregnant and can't carry more than 10 pounds ...

Except for architect, engineer and financing ... a woman is completely useless in the construction sector ... they should stay in the Halls of Political Power and Administrating the Sacraments ... [sneer] ... that's all they're good fer ...

Complicated subject. I agree with everything you have posted, but from the XX side of things, it is quite ironic that they clamor for sexual exclusivity in sports while also wanting diversity in every segment of the workforce. A conundrum.

We don't need women Rangers and Navy SEALS. That's why you say "come on, man" and not, "come on, woman." ;)

Firefighters to lug oxygen tanks up 30 floors, male or female? Police officers, yes, of course, but they are not taking down some big dude, so that falls on her partner. Is he at greater risk now? Is there training to account for this imbalance of physical strength?

Yea, if you put women in men's space (note: physical strength and conditioning, not intellect or decision making) then you need to account for these differences. The problem with DEI is they pretend all things are equal.

Do you agree that men need to stay out of mothers' business? ... fathers just bring her the family's paycheck and obey? ...
My dad did that, to a point, woe betide her if she asked for more. ;)

I learned early on that money was tight so I made my own.

In later years when it came time for me to pony-up for hunting lease costs my dad would always cover my share.

He told me that since I never asked for anything as a kid it was money owed.....I never argued the point.

The problem was never them getting those jobs if they qualified for them, the problem was lowering the standards so they could qualify for them.

If I am out cold due to smoke in a fire I don't care if someone with a dick or a vajayjay carries me out, as long as they carry my fat ass out. (or drag it down the stairs, either way just get me out of there)

Do women threaten you, kid?

That article is a joke, right? It has to be.

It’s not natural or normal for women to be police officers, or soldiers, or firefighters. And we don’t have to pretend otherwise.
It's not "natural" for people to use computers.

It's not "normal" for people to have an IQ above 100.

What, on earth, is your point?

There's no such thing as a "man's profession", and no one going to "get women out of them", so you'll just have to get used to it.

Policing is a man’s profession. So is soldiering, and commercial fishing, and underwater welding, and so on.
Nope, they're for anyone, man or woman, who meets the qualifications

That’s not to say women shouldn’t be able to serve in clerical roles in a police force or in the military, but they have no business leading police departments or being deployed into combat areas.
They most certainly do have business doing so if they meet the qualifications.

This is, or should be, a commonplace observation.
It's a commonplace observation that what your saying is nonsense.

Rubbish. Women have been in "men's professions" since ancient times. In any ancient culture, you would have found powerful and well-educated queens and empresses, while the "average man" would have been illiterate and a serf and had no power whatsoever.

There are many women capable of being police officers, and many men who aren't.

The truth is that nothing you've said has any value whatsoever. I literally almost thought this was a joke thread at first. That's how much I laughed at it.

Who's "they"?

And, to my knowledge, gendered sports league are not a new phenomenon that some "they" is demanding. They've been around since the earliest sports leagues were established.

Yep, there should be no such thing as a male airline stewardess......Or a female stewardess over 35 for that matter. ;)
Welp, the law doesn't allow for such discrimination, and there are many men and women entering into these professions, so there's simply nothing you can do about it.

Since when are those positions considered man spaces? If any female can deliver what is expected of each job, to me, that is all that should ever matter.

God bless you and every female in uniform always!!!

Fear of the Marlboro Man Motivates Tobacco Nazis

Proud White males are a threat to the preordained ruling class and always have been. Sinking into decadence and obsolescence, they desperately needed to follow through on Postmodern emasculation.
Bullshit. These guys aren't a threat to anyone:

It's like the 1970s all over again.
