Women who can't physically do a job that my life may depend on threaten me. Most women don't have the strength or endurance to be a firefighter or many other physical typically male jobs. If they can, they should be able to. But standards shouldn't be lowered one iota to allow them to "compete". If the standard is to carry a 200-pound dummy down three flights of stairs and out of a building, women shouldn't be allowed to carry a 100-pound dummy. There are physical jobs women can be better at, as I understand it women tend to have higher G tolerance then men so they should make better fighter pilots IF they have the killer instinct a fighter jock requires.

Rubbish. Women have been in "men's professions" since ancient times. In any ancient culture, you would have found powerful and well-educated queens and empresses, while the "average man" would have been illiterate and a serf and had no power whatsoever.

There are many women capable of being police officers, and many men who aren't.

Yes. The requirements are pretty normal for any man in decent physical condition. When I was younger, I could easily exceed them. Now, I couldn’t deadlift two hundred pounds to save my life. In an emergency I could drag it down three flights of stairs and out of a burning building. And I am over seventy years old.

I would doubt most men could. But certainly...of the population that could do it...you'd have more men than women in that group.

The army had similar tasks in their PT tests. Every soldier could perform them, not the three flights of stairs, but running jumping, carrying heavy weights and then there was the “confidence” (obstacle) course which was harder than the firefighter test.

Firefighters to lug oxygen tanks up 30 floors, male or female? Police officers, yes, of course, but they are not taking down some big dude, so that falls on her partner. Is he at greater risk now? Is there training to account for this imbalance of physical strength?

Yea, if you put women in men's space (note: physical strength and conditioning, not intellect or decision making) then you need to account for these differences. The problem with DEI is they pretend all things are equal.

If I was in a burning building, the idea I would care whether it was a male or a female firefighter coming to rescue me, why would I care if the person coming to rescue me was less intelligent?
