No. They do not. It has not worked out, where tried. It is certainly not any kind of 3rd rail. It's the low-hanging fruit that law enforcement won't touch. In fact legislators across the country want to make drug use legal (most of their supporters must be users). See my comments at the bottom of my posts.
Where has it been tried? No. They do not. It has not worked out, where tried. It is certainly not any kind of 3rd rail.
Everything in it proper place....If you want to talk about the lifestyle of drug use and addiction the Health and Lifestyle sub-forum is what you seek.Drug use and addiction is the "third rail" of the topics discussed there.
None of my crime threads has ever been moved from there. But that’s not really crime. That’s the legal system.
We can't deal with crime without dealing with the drug problem. That's why we have so much crime. We refuse to deal with the drug problem.Everything in it proper place....If you want to talk about the lifestyle of drug use and addiction the Health and Lifestyle sub-forum is what you seek.
Negative....Only if there is legislation (say legalizing a drug) was being considered or a large drug bust. Both forums are appropriate.
Crime is also a lifestyle choice. Do we honor that? And why should I pay for another's bad lifestyle choice?Negative....Only if there is legislation (say legalizing a drug) was being considered or a large drug bust.
Drug addiction is a lifestyle choice (not counting doctors getting someone hooked on painkillers after surgery).
You shouldn't have to.....A .22 round applied behind the ear settles all problems.Crime is also a lifestyle choice. Do we honor that? And why should I pay for another's lifestyle choice?
I somewhat agree. You shouldn't have to.....A .22 round applied behind the ear settles all problems.
In fact the three strike rule should be brought back and updated.....The third felony gets you a trip to the burn pit and a .22 round behind the ear.
Oregon/Washington are Mecca or the addled on the left coast.Where has it been tried?
And now they are reversing it as more OD from drugs.Oregon/Washington are Mecca or the addled on the left coast.
Can you describe the program?Oregon/Washington are Mecca or the addled on the left coast.
.Can you describe the program?
Yep. It did not work. And now they are reversing it as more OD from drugs.
That’s not the only reason. We have Democrats decriminalizing crime - like shoplifting in California - and releasing violent criminals back out onto the streets, repeatedly. We can't deal with crime without dealing with the drug problem. That's why we have so much crime. We refuse to deal with the drug problem.
.
And now they are rethinking it as the ODs have increased.
You missed the point. They legalized hardcore drugs. That experiment failed as deaths from overdose are increasingWhy would anyone think a voluntary treatment program would work?
