Communism has KILLED more people than any other ideology in human history, and it continues to do so today. For any literate person to fail to see this is simply incredible.

The Democrats have marked out a strategy to usurp political power through vacuous promises of "free" stuff - paid for by someone else - which is the essence of the empty appeal of communism. (And of course by adding tens of millions of government-dependent foreigners to the voter rolls, which is even worse).

The difference between communism and socialism is merely semantics. Steal from those who earned it, give it to those who didn't. And there you have it.

But the OP sort of misses the criticism of the dem/Obama/Biden agendas of Big Govt. Because of globalization, we are not going to see low skilled jobs like manually screwing together of electric boards or putting doors on cars, and with the advent of Citizens United and the new post Reagan republicans, the 1% have cut their own taxes to force govt to fund with deficit dollars. So the dem response is to actually try and make the people who own the corporations pay the same % of income that we do in taxes, and use the money to finance healthcare and education, which back in the pre-1980s workers either got as job benefits or state taxes covered. I personally don't have a problem with that because given W's cave to Norquist and the 1% and the advent of GOP nativism-xianfundamentalism, I'm pretty much a yellow dog dem ... assuming any of them are left either.

BUT the dems still want to control market decisions. They want to tell you what has to be included in your insurance. They don't see anything wrong in putting working Americans in Medicaid, alongside those who don't want to work. They don't see anything wrong is having a min wage the would pay a liveable wage in NYC apply to entry level workers in Ala. THAT may be what Billy is trying to get to

I said tax the owners on income. Not production. Although, yes, the dems proposed an increase to the corp tax. I'm not a huge fan of corp taxes, but at 21% the US rate could be raised without making our rate out of line with other nations.
