Another rightwing liar.

No one is advocating ‘burning’ books – the publisher is at liberty to discontinue titles for any reason, having nothing to do with ‘censorship.’

As an aside, many of the books burned by the Nazis were written by liberals; liberals were among the first subject to Nazi persecution, among the first into the concentration camps.

The Dr Suess books were not banned by any outside force. The publishers that own the rights to the books made a decision based on what they felt was hurtful to some people, and decided to stop publishing them.

They gave up their royalties for what they believed. I don't agree with it, but I admire that they did what they thought was right, despite losing money on it.
Correct.

It’s a lie to claim this is about ‘censorship’; the publisher is a private entity at liberty to edit its content as it sees fit.

I hope they've got some extra security around the library overnight. The Red Guard are mindless, violent animals.

Fahrenheit 451 is the American's left instruction manual.

First they came for the conservatives on campus, now they're coming for the books.
At least conservatives are consistent at being liars.

There is no ‘they’ – no one ‘came’ for conservatives on campus, no one is ‘coming’ for books, liberals in particular.

And Fahrenheit 451 was written as a critique of McCarthyism and the right’s use of lies and censorship to attack political opponents – a tactic rightists continue to use today.

Conservatives are as ignorant as they are dishonest.

Who is they? Who forced the Dr Seuss organization to stop publishing more copies of those 6 books?
Why do you suppose they "voluntarily" stopped publishing certain editions? Because they know the woke mob will be coming for them if they don't get ahead of you mother fuckers.

When I first read this story, I knew that conservatives would contrive and propagate lies about ‘censorship’ and ‘book burning.’

Conservatives didn’t disappoint; rightists are as predictable as they are dishonest.

Good on them!

"The library, which serves Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island, said it does not censor books and will keep the controversial titles in circulation until they are no longer in suitable shape to lend out, a spokeswoman said.

“As with all public libraries the New York Public Library does not censor books,” library spokeswoman Angela Montefinise said.

I'm concerned for that library.

Dr. Carson is absolutely amazing, I have always respected and admire him enormously!

Former secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson described leftist attempts to cancel Dr Seuss books as ‘poison’ Thursday, adding that cancel culture on the whole stems from the fact that “socialists believe that everything comes from government.”

Carson recited his own Dr Seuss type poem:

I do not like to cancel books. I do not like how that looks.
I do not like it here, nor there, I do not like it anywhere.
I do not like it in the store, I do not want it anymore.
I do think it’s time past, no longer to have thought a crime.
I do hope one day to see across my country ’tis of thee, books used to read and learn instead of set ablaze to burn.
Our heritage for all to share, little patriots everywhere.
Our nation’s story rich and vast, our true history taught in class.
A special place for all to be, a place known for its liberty.

Deep in the heart of Texas.
I looked and I read
I found them splendid
Not one vicious word
To make me offended

The grammar was child-like
The rhymes were quite plain
I did not see
The reason to complain

The pictures are whimsical
The characters unique
A book for the young
I did not see the crime they speak

A cat in a hat
An elephant of blue
One fish, two fish
And even a Who

The Grinch that stole Christmas
With its fictional villains
did not speak out
When it made Hollywood millions

60 books to his name, For 84 years
& just now have sent whiners, crying in tears

With NO life to enjoy
They must find someone to blame
Someone to hate,
Someone to shame

Your goal is to hate
I do NOT condone,
Be ashamed Snowflakes
Leave Dr. Seuss alone.

To liberals public libraries are gigantic Roach Hotels.

Books get checked out but they never get back in.

Gotta keep those home fires burning, eh?
I have spent time in libraries all over the eastern US. I saw far more liberals there than anyone.

Give it 5 minutes until they cave and enter the re-education camp, and come out apologizing for their sins and crimes....
