Disgraced Minnesota Senator Al Franken once joked about child rape during a "comedic" roast of film director Rob Reiner. Franken laid out a scene where Reiner's father Carl, would invite famous friends over to rape his son:

"On a typical night, Carl would slip into Rob's bed, roll him over, swab him down and say something like, "I'm thinking about hiring Morey Amsterdam to play Buddy Sorrell, what do you think?", Franken said. Franken went on to say "Well the success of the Dick Van Dyke Show changed things dramatically. Carl started inviting many of his famous friends to **** his son. That list includes some of the greats in comedy: Paul Lynde, Dom DeLuise, Rip Taylor, Danny Kaye, Charles Nelson Reilly, and Rock Hudson - whom I frankly don't think is that funny."

We can't hate these people enough

No, but we can sure try.

Never mind it wasn't the slightest bit funny and was horrible taste that if Trump or anyone else talked like that, would be the talk of the town! But the question is, why even go there? What kind of mind even goes down that corridor as a path towards humor for a PROFESSIONAL COMEDIAN roasting a friend?

Remember, Al Franken started out as a TV writer. Reiner was a TV writer too in the late 60s.

There are only TWO possible answers:
  1. Franken is a sick freak with a disturbed sense of humor that the people in the room and Rob only laughed at out of politeness.
  2. The story was based on some actual facts and truth.
I'm not sure which is worse, but no where but in Hollywood would you ever expect such perverse humor. Guess that's why Dean Martin never invited Franken onto one of his roasts--- can you imagine the look on people's faces if one of Dean's guests spoke like that?

Franken Made Jokes About Sexual Misconduct

That's ******* disgusting.

Molestation, believe it or not, explains a lot of behaviors later in life. Wouldn't be surprised if there is a nugget of truth in these very odd jokes.

She look familiar but I can't place her.

Rose McGowan.

No idea who she is. I just took a screen grab from the animated gif and did an image search on Google. That's the name it returned.

Rose McGowan

In spite of all that, I still don't know who the **** she is.

But I will add this: I bet she goes to the same crappy barber I do. He's older than dirt, half blind, and his hands shake a little. But $12 is a good deal for a haircut these days, so...

But I digress. Contrary to what LibertyScreech posted, she's actually not "pretty sane." She performed oral sex on Harvey Weinstein, and then jumped right in the middle of the #MeToo movement...

"The primary "scandal" associated with Rose McGowan involves her central role as one of the first and most prominent accusers in the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases, which helped spark the global #MeToo movement. She has also made other allegations regarding misconduct in Hollywood and has faced her own legal issues and public dispute...

  • Public Disputes and Controversies:
    • She had a public disagreement with former Charmed co-star Alyssa Milano.
    • McGowan criticized actresses who wore black at the Golden Globes as a form of protest, calling it "Hollywood fakery".
    • In 2020, she accused filmmaker Alexander Payne of statutory rape, which he denied, stating their relationship was consensual and legal.
    • She pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor drug charge in 2019 related to an incident in 2017.
  • Departure from the US: McGowan moved to Mexico in 2020 and has stated she does not plan to return to the United States. "
So she's most likely a Trump-hating, man-hating *****.

Comedy writers are paid to push boundaries. They may get stuck on the boundary pushing instead of making jokes work. When they have nothing funny to write but must still write something to get paid, the barrel scraping can get bizarre.

Now I wonder who would win a Tim Walz and Al Franken primary.
