Yes, review the rise and fall of the Weimar Republic 1919-33. The only exception will be that people will demand their rights under the constitution and not regress into a fascist state ruled by an autocratic political party or statism. The result will be closer to the libertarian model, decentralized federal government coupled with enhanced state rights, and tight fiscal and monetary policy constraints.
