We are all Democrats now.

Republicans steal from hard working people and give to the wealthy. You may like giving away your money to Donald Trump’s Ponzi schemes but most of us do not.
I'm baffled by your "thinking". How do you think printing fake money will do anything BUT take money from middle to lower class americans and put it in the pockets of super wealthy?

There really isn't much difference between a Republican politician and a Democratic party one anymore. Spend, spend and more spending.

We are all Democrats now.

Well, no, some principled folk turned our backs on those culls some time ago.

Agree. There is no small government party anymore. I love Trump and his foreign policy. He's useless for stumping for smaller government, which was disappointing, but we had Paul three-hour marathon and cocaine Mitch working against him. He had the entire Republican and Democrat apparatus against him on domestic policies, and he still did great things in his control that made a yuge difference. That said, Trump doesn't seem to have a philosophical aversion to government spending. Still the best option as president.

Prior to Covid, Trump's 2020 budget was the first budget proposal in decades that would accomplish balancing the federal budget. But like it did with all of Trump's economic achievements at that point, the China virus killed Trump's balanced budget plan.

If not for Covid, the economy would have continued blazing through 2020, Trump surely would have been reelected, and we'd be in the midst of the strongest US economy on record and well on our way to a balanced federal budget by the end of his 2nd term. Instead, we have stagflation and federal spending the likes of which nobody could have even comprehended just 4 years ago.

Love Trump, but he is big spender. Trump proposes record spending, trillion-dollar deficit | AP News

"President Donald Trump proposed a record $4.7 trillion budget on Monday, pushing the federal deficit past $1 trillion but counting on optimistic growth, accounting shuffles and steep domestic cuts to bring future spending into balance in 15 years."

He proposed a record spending budget. That balancing the budget thing was a projection of 15 years down the road, which means practically nothing. Don't forget the budget bill he signed, which included yet another debt ceiling increase -

"President Trump on Friday signed a sweeping budget deal that increases federal spending and lifts the nation’s borrowing limit, the White House said.

The new law suspends the debt ceiling through July 2021, removing the threat of a default during the 2020 elections, and raises domestic and military spending by more than $320 billion compared to existing law over the next two fiscal years.

Covid. Look at the details of that. Remember Trump threatened to veto a couple of those big spending bills because of the sheer waste.
