We are all Democrats now.

Agree. There is no small government party anymore. I love Trump and his foreign policy. He's useless for stumping for smaller government, which was disappointing, but we had Paul three-hour marathon and cocaine Mitch working against him. He had the entire Republican and Democrat apparatus against him on domestic policies, and he still did great things in his control that made a yuge difference. That said, Trump doesn't seem to have a philosophical aversion to government spending. Still the best option as president.

There really isn't much difference between a Republican politician and a Democratic party one anymore. Spend, spend and more spending.

Except that the democrats want to spend a helluva lot more than the GOP does. Look at the most recent BBB Bill that is currently stalled in the Senate. That bill was originally around $3.5 trillion and the Repubs won't have anything to do with it. Last I heard, that bill has shrunk to maybe $2 trillion and probably heading lower. Anyone who doesn't see the difference in spending between the 2 parties isn't looking very hard.

Bullshit!

^^^ Stockholm syndrome. Republicans stole $2 trillion from hard working families to gave tax cuts to billionaires and large corporations. And you want more of this?

ALL American politicians have become self-appointed, self-aggrandizing, self-entitled aristocracy who march through our lives as if they descended from Old World noble blood. ALL modern American politicians worship gold, glitter, fame, limelight, power over their constituents and the almighty State.

For reference and proof of the above research reactions of our "elected" sitting federal legislators to the events of January 6, 2021. American peasants actually managed to riot within an inch of where these people work. Their most notable response: erect ramparts around their place of work and ring it with thousands of soldiers.

Although I continue to have great faith in the actions of our Founding Fathers which led to America's creation, I don't know what they were thinking when it came to our elected representatives. ONE man or woman simply cannot compassionately, effectively or reasonably represent millions of people possessed of millions of different daily life needs. Further, these days election to federal legislative office serves only as entry ticket to wealth, power and prestige. Countless "little people" get lost in the fine print and our politicians' quest for gold.

The whole system needs a reboot, and fast. We the People must become the fourth branch of government and the final check on government power.

You are lying. The Trump Tax Cuts gave the middle class a huge tax cut, whereas the Rich guys actually paid more.

According to data from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service comparing outcomes from 2017 to 2018—the first year the tax reform law went into effect—the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act reduced average effective income tax rates for filers in every one of the IRS’s income brackets, with the largest benefits going to lower- and middle-income households. (See
For example, after accounting for all tax deductions and credits, filers with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $40,000 to $50,000 received an average tax cut of 18.2 percent.

The IRS data further show that the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act appeared to have a strong upward effect on economic mobility. The number of filers with an adjusted gross income of $1 to $25,000 decreased by more than 2 million in just one year, while the number of households reporting incomes higher than $25,000 increased in every income bracket.

The most significant increase occurred in the $100,000 to $200,000 bracket, which included more than 1 million additional filers in 2018 than it did in 2017.

The IRS data also revealed that higher-income earners paid an even larger share of the total tax burden in 2018 than they did in 2017, indicating that the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act may have made the tax code slightly more progressive. This finding contradicts the countless statements made by Democrats over the past four years criticizing TCJA as legislation that favored wealthier filers.

In 2017, filers earning $500,000 or more paid 38.9 percent of all personal income tax revenues. In 2018, the same income bracket paid 41.5 percent of total income tax revenues.

Look at the IRS Tax Data yourself if you don't believe it.

ThunderKiss1965 FIscally there isn't much difference between the parties. But Democrats seems intent on flooding America with undocumented immigrants either letting them through the border or airlifting them into our military bases. And they seems intent on dividing America by skin color and vilifying our Police, our border Patrol. And they gave away our energy independence and doubled our fuel costs to push green energy.

So once you get past spending, their aren't many similarities at all.

This article is from a right wing think tank. Goes into the bullshit pile.

Trump’s IRS.

Data Source: U.S. Internal Revenue Service, “SOI Tax Stats - Individual Statistical Tables by Size of Adjusted Gross Income,” irs.gov, last updated May 14, 2021, https://www.irs.gov/statistics/soi-...stical-tablesby-size-of-adjusted-gross-income

Are you seriously saying that Trump influenced the IRS data? After he left office? You don't think everybody and his brother would be all over his ass if that were true? How about you produce anything that suggests that data is manipulated. The truth is that it isn't and you are an ideological fool that cannot accept anything that does not jibe with your opinion of DJT.
