That was normal recoil after a recession (2008). In Obama's last year unemployment was at 5%. Trump lowered it to 3.2.

Trump came along just in time, when Obama (2016) was plunging us right back into another recession. In fact, 2016 WAS a recession, as GDP RECEDED from 2.3% down to 1.8% (before Trump brought it back up to 4.2%)
