No. Somehow I don’t see the NFL owners approving of that or many of the other suggestions from this thread.

Last Tuesday Jason Wright, the President of the Washington Football Team announced that the new franchise name will be announced on February 2nd.

He also announced that for trademark reasons any version of Wolves or RedWolves had been removed from consideration, despite that being the single most popular option among the fan base and general public.

The team released a video and photos teasing glimpses of the new uniforms and helmets as wel.

This leaves: Presidents, Commanders,, Generals, Armada, Red Hogs, Football Team, and Defenders as the seven names presented in the final eight last summer.

I recall they trademarked Washington Red Hawks and DC Sentinels a few years ago.
