If you can afford the fine, go for it. While you won't go to jail for it as it has been decriminalized, you WILL get a ticket and have to pay a fine.
The type of people who do this will soon have dozens of tickets and thousands in fines, all unpaid.
But DC will get to report a decrease in crime next year, which is the real purpose of this.
