As of Monday early morning, there were a total of 2,400 homes listed for sale on Zillow in Washington, D.C, 253 of which had been put on the market in the last seven days and 461 in the last 14 days.

I read where there were 14k homes put up for sale in NOtVA during the same period.

I quit counting at 60 in my small county 60-odd miles out of DC.

This time last year there were only 6 homes for sale in the whole town/county.

Washington is not a strategically good place for the Capital of the USA,

It should be right in the middle of the country.

Time, IMHO, for Congress to scratch back its authority of Article One, Section 8 in regards to the District of Columbia.

Congress has the sole authority to pass legislation in DC, and no reason to have half ass leftards ******* up the capital of the country.

From the Constitution:

"To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States,"

No reason for the existence of an elected mayor of Washington or council.
