Charlemagne and a talented successor could have begun the renewal of the glorious Roman Empire. But the toxic tradition of hereditary power brought Europe right back into the Dark Ages. Under our own Richkid Reich, we're not allowed to analyze history logically.

There were Germanic peoples, and for longer than 1,500 years, but Germany as a nation came about around 1875. Bismarck and Weber and others worked very hard on inventing a common culture and a nationalist mentality among the various tribes.

Bavarians were different from Berliners, who were different from Prussians, who were different from Saxons, etc., etc.

Munich is 600 miles distant from Berlin. They still have differences in words they use.
