The November Revolution mainly consisted of communists denying workers access to war factories and other important facilities.
It led to a supply crisis and Germany had to give up. Not a single square meter of German soil was occupied by opposing troops when the war finally came to an end.

Not easily. There was much bloodshed. And the communists remained a strong force during the times of the Weimar Republic.
