Warrior 2011 movie. (Streaming on Netflix)

This movie is well reviewed. Critics liked it and so does the audience.
And it is a good movie. Good story line, characters you care about... and plenty of action and anticipation.
My only issue: Why did they cast Joel Edgerton?
The movie based on the story of two brothers who battle in the largest MMA fight contest ever.
Joel Edgerton is too small to be fighting against guys like Tom Hardy.
In the film Tom Hardy is a beefy 185 lbs. with only a 5'9" frame.
Edgerton? 160 lbs.
Edgerton would be a Lightweight, with Hardy a Middleweight. They would never fight.
They also show Edgerton fighting a guy called Koba. Who is played by Kurt Angle... 6' and weighs 220 lbs. Just barely below Heavyweight.

I think a better actor would have been Shia Belouf, also only about 160lb... but he can beef up like Hardy for a Movie


At any rate.... it's a pretty good movie.

Interesting fact about Tom Hardy. He is actually an expert jiu-jitsu fighter.

He made a surprise appearance at a Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament recently, and won it.
