Walz says abolish the Electoral College

As the election hysteria intensifies, both sides claim their opponents are would-be dictators.

The question is: Which is more plausible, a right-wing authoritarian takeover or a left-wing authoritarian takeover?

The liberal/left controls the corporate media, many corporations, many banks, the educational system, numerous government bureaucracies including the security agencies, urban political machines, the courts, etc.

So clearly a left-wing authoritarian takeover is far more likely.

Think about this...

The Right Wing are the pro Corporate party... They are the ones who appointed SC Judges who have increased corporation power..

What Judges pushed Corporate personhood?

As for Corporate Media, The Sinclair Group is the largest local TV network and Fox News is the largest Cable news network spend all day telling how the Media is liberal... Seriously, these Big Corporate media giants are spending all day telling you they are the underdogs..

The same for all other areas...
Sure there are exceptions, but in the aggregate the establishment is more Democratic than Republican.

You’ll find establishment Republicans serving the military-industrial complex and big corporations. These corrupted Republicans hate the American people as much as the liberal/left.

Yes, it has to be nationwide.

I think it would also increase voter participation, because right now a lot of voters sit out the elections if their State is solid one way or the other. Conservative voters in blue states would be more engaged, and vice-versa.

I know that my State will go to Harris, there is not much point for me to vote in the Presidential race. I will still vote in the local measures, and I will cast a vote in the Presidential election, but I already know it won't count...

It counts when it comes to getting Trump over the popular vote hump. If we get that and an EC win, it just solidifies his victory.

I am not making any argument. I am simply stating facts, that you seem to have issues with

We live in the United STATES of America.

and where I live, every citizens has one vote.

These are just facts
They aren't equal votes which is also a fact. Moron.

:auiqs.jpg:

I know you hate the fact you'll never get 38 states to agree to eliminating the EC, but there's nothing you can do about it.

:auiqs.jpg:
Except that's not fact. That's you imagining to tell the future like you're cosplaying as Ms. Cleo. The fact that you're such a moron that you don't know what a fact is is ******* hilarious. You people need a better debate strategy than feigning stupidity because it's becoming a rather convincing argument.

Its not. Everyone who votes in a Presidential election has the same say as everyone else.

And that's not going to change.
No the don't..

A person in Wyomings vote is worth over 3 times a Californian vote..

:auiqs.jpg:
A person in Wyoming does not vote in the same election as a person in CA, and vice-versa - thus, your argument is unsound.
Every person in WY has the same value to his vote.
Every person in CA has the same value to his vote.

They all vote in the United States of America and an American citizens vote in California is worth less than an American citizens vote in Wyoming for President. If you support that, why not do so proudly rather than as a little ***** trying to do rhetorical word play? :dunno:

No of you are real Proud Boys.

Good luck getting the 38 states on board with this proposal that would be needed, and getting them to vote away their own influence. Stupid, dumb ass politician who obviously slept through civics class.
The fact that Walz, and other democrats, are demonizing the EC is the point. You sprinted from that to whether they could get it done.

Do you agree with them?

He's pissed because he knows the electoral college will never be eliminated, and there's not a damn thing he can do about it.
Sounds like they want to undo our Democratic Republic norms, and create a stronger, central power...very fascist if you ask me.

15th post
What the f are you talking about? Yes they are, at least in my state. Maybe. It yours
It's simple math and the electoral college you moron. Do you not understand anything at all that you attempt to talk about with authority? How empty headed are you? :dunno:

There were 17 million voters in California in 2020 and as a State they had 55 electoral votes. Wyoming on the other hand had 270,000 voters and 3 electoral college votes. If you do the math that means Californians got 1 elector for every 309,000 voters while Wyoming citizens got 1 elector for every 90,000 voters. Why should your vote be worth less depending on which State you're voting in?

We're the fascists because we want to undo the rules crafted by slavers to protect slavers? You really are empty headed....
