Walmart vs. Whiteness

ggghnnnhjnnnnjj.jpeg

People tend to form their ideas from their own experiences. When I was a kid, I did not know any Black people. Then I went into the Navy and worked in civil service. What a change. The best supervisor I ever worked for was a Black woman. The best oral surgeon I ever met was a Black woman. I made lots of Black friends. Racism is useless crap.

The problem is had the black oral surgeon. supervisor, black women in the civil service been fked up then you would not be talking like this about black people as a group

Where as had you had a fked up white oral surgeon or supervisor that would not have changed your opinion on white people as a group.

You are a preposterous fool and you cannot read.IGNORE.

White supremacists like you have done more to debunk their own crap than anyone else by crying like bitches every time the scales get a little more balanced. If someone gets the same as you why do you think something has been taken away? If your whiteness alone makes you superior why should you care if the playing field is leveled?

Your inability to even try to address the point, is noted.

And back to the topic. CRT is more than the formal program. It is the general idea that wacism is baked into our society and that all white people have to ACTIVELY work to....somehow atone and fix this, because "whiteness".

WE cannot be a society with this idea being part of it. It will tear us apart.

You're upset that he did not have preconceived notions of black people before he knew any?

That seems an odd complaint.

This idea is nothing new. Black people are already well aware that the system is rigged against them. You're just worried that white kids might learn just how arbitrary things still are. CRT is only a threat to the continuation of racist conservative politics for yet another generation.

That is a lie. I am worried that white children will be raised to believe that they are guilty because of the sins of people who sort of looked like them, long ago, and that non-white children will be raised to believe they are owed shit from white people, because wacism.

That you have to lie about my concern, before attacking it, is you dealing with the fact that your brain knows that your position is wrong.

Black people are owed the same rights you have. The same ease of voting, the same economic opportunity and the right for their kids to learn their own history. If you see this as a threat then tell what you think will be lost if black people finally get an equal stake in being a citizen of this country? Are you afraid they are after some payback?

He tells of positive experiences with black people and you still find fault. Considering he had most exposure to white people, he probably would not have had a negative view on whites as a group. You are the one inserting “as a group” into this, you can’t blame an entire race on the opinions of a few.

I told you what I am afraid of.

Here it is again. From the post you just hit the "reply" button to.

I look forward to seeing what tactic you use next, to avoid addressing my response.

Does it bother you, to be afraid of the things I say?

Walmart Inc. has launched a critical race theory training program that denounces the United States as a “white supremacy system” and teaches white, hourly wage employees that they are guilty of “white supremacy thinking” and “internalized racial superiority.”

According to a cache of internal documents I have obtained from a whistleblower, Walmart launched the program in 2018 in partnership with the Racial Equity Institute, a Greensboro, North Carolina, consulting firm that has worked extensively with universities, government agencies, and private corporations. The program is based on the core principles of critical race theory, including “intersectionality,” “internalized racial oppression,” “internalized racial inferiority,” and “white anti-racist development.” Since the program’s launch, Walmart has trained more than 1,000 employees and made the program mandatory for executives and recommended for hourly wage workers in Walmart stores. When reached for comment, Walmart confirmed that the company has “engaged REI for a number of training sessions since 2018” and has “found these sessions to be thought provoking and constructive.”

The program begins with the claim that the United States is a “white supremacy system,” designed by white Europeans “for the purpose of assigning and maintaining white skin access to power and privilege.” American history is presented as a long sequence of oppressions, from the “construction of a ‘white race’” by colonists in 1680 to President Obama’s stimulus legislation in 2009, “another race neutral act that has disproportionately benefited white people.” Consequently, the Walmart program argues, white Americans have been subjected to “racist conditioning” that indoctrinates them into “white supremacy,” or the view “that white people and the ideas, thoughts, beliefs, and actions of white people are superior to People of Color and their ideas, thoughts, beliefs, and actions.”

Following the principle that “diagnosis determines treatment,” the Walmart program seeks to create a psychological profile of whiteness that can then be treated through “white anti-racist development.” Whites, according to the trainers, are inherently guilty of “white privilege” and “internalized racial superiority,” the belief that “one’s comfort, wealth, privilege and success has been earned by merits and hard work” rather than through the benefits of systemic racism. Walmart’s program argues that this oppressive “white supremacy culture” can be summarized in a list of qualities including “individualism,” “objectivity,” “paternalism,” “defensiveness,” “power hoarding,” “right to comfort, “and “worship of the written word”—which all “promote white supremacy thinking” and “are damaging to both people of color and to white people.”

Wait what was that

Walmart launched the program in 2018 in partnership with the Racial Equity Institute, a Greensboro, North Carolina, consulting firm that has worked extensively with universities, government agencies, and private corporations.

They put the transactivists in charge of teaching it in the kindergartens.......shut up racists bigots!
I believe getting the info directly from Walmart is helpful. I don't see anything referring to CRT. I see efforts to help employees understand one another and their life experiences so as to work better together. I see Walmart taking a stand for racial equality.

I do not adhere to the words of Christopher Rufo or his attempt to stir things up and misrepresent things. Anybody can become a "whistleblower." Perhaps this one is a person who doesn't want to understand others and stand up for racial equality, so decided to spread partial truths or untruths.

Bullshit.

Who raises our children? Parents, grandparents, family. If they are taught something outside of the home that parents find objectionable, won't they teach their children otherwise? Teaching factual history is necessary so that the mistakes of the past are not repeated. Anyone worried about their white children is free to teach them their own version, but eventually truth comes to light and if we have hidden it, kids may one day ask us why.

Bullshit. Why are you making excuses for the massive teaching of lies and racism, that permutates our entire society?

Gosh, white folks have some pretty weird and wassist ideas. Talk about privilege!

Hope black folks don't find out about these 'secret' ideas - otherwise they may begin to improve their own lives, too.
Lol...
When I first read this I thought of some white folks I have known, who outwardly followed your rules, but inwardly were a moral mess. This is about what you think people must do, not about what kind of person they are inside. I knew a law-abiding white man who was a church goer, family man, hard worker, etc. etc, who had the biggest stash of porn that you can imagine. I knew another white man who was a church elder, sang in the choir, pillar of the community - but he left his wife and 3 kids and ran off with another woman. I'm sure you know some folks like this yourself.

I am sure we've all heard of or personally known white officers of the law who are guilty of domestic violence. We have known hard-working, so called law abiding white citizens who drink too much beer and end up in a bar brawl. I knew of a white man who worked hard, claimed to be patriotic, was self reliant, etc. who not only ran with prostitutes but molested his own child. The man who went on a shooting rampage in Las Vegas was a wealthy white man who had always worked hard and followed the rules - until he decided to plan a mass shooting. Strict adherence to a set of rules does not automatically make you a good person or improve your life. We all have heard of white TV preachers who preach one thing and do something quite the opposite behind the scenes.

Then I have known black men who seriously followed everyone of your rules. They became highly educated and respected, by everyone but some white folks who still saw them as criminals. Henry Louis Gates, educated, hard working, professor was trying to get into his own house, when police saw him, assumed he was breaking in and tried to arrest him. He did everything right. He got educated, he obeyed the law, he was self reliant, but none of it was good enough to earn him respect.

There are sitting members of congress who have told stories about how they have been stopped from going into the Capitol because the police did not believe they had any business being there. Seen and immediately suspected of being criminals.

Yes, white folks do have some pretty weird ideas - they insist on other folks following their rules while many of them are morally corrupt and have tendencies towards violence and condemnation of everyone who is not like them.

And the white folks who first came to this land had some pretty weird ideas also - like they could just massacre the people who already lived here, steal their land, and then enslave people to do the hard work of building their country.

Walmart is a large reason why America lost its economic base in the 80's and 90's. The owner is a piece of crap who married into his wealth, and has been screwing people over ever since. I haven't bought anything from that place in almost 40 years. If I need something and they are the only place who has it, I will live without it. I invite every other decent person on the planet to join me. Don't even walk into the place,

I see you hate white people. How nice. Its good to know that you think working hard and playing by the rules such as not being a criminal is a problem for you... What code do you prefer?

Most white people will tell the cop who the bad guy is so they can be arrested, some groups of people will tell the cops "they didn't see nothing" even if twenty people were standing right there when three kids were shot. Black people lost me as an ally after 2020 and 2021.

Actually, I do not hate white people, especially being one myself. I have always worked hard and played by the rules and am not a criminal. I would prefer equal treatment under law for everyone. If black people lost you as an ally, I would personally question if you truly were one to begin with.

When white people hate white people, it's obvious................... they hate themselves. You hate yourself, you have no frame of reference for respecting somebody else.

Who ever said I hated white people? If I say things about certain behaviors or beliefs held by someone or even if I get angry over them, that does not equal hatred. We can have disagreements and misunderstandings with one another without it developing into hatred. Hatred is a strong emotion which I do not allow myself to have either for myself or others. I only hate things - like injustice, prejudice, evil, etc. - not people. My frame of reference is God, since He created us all. There is always a possibility of change and growth. The photo album of one's life is not complete until they are gone.
