I know that conservatives will view this as an isolated instance, but I offer it as something to contemplate when falling for Trump's bullshit that the system is rigged against him.

Kris Teske is the city clerk for Green Bay, WI and the email exchange regards an early voting location close to the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay (UWGB.)

Teske sent an email on Aug. 26, 2016, to the Wisconsin Ethics Commission. It read:

I have a state representative (Rep. Eric Genrich, D-Green Bay) who is being very persistent about having an alternate polling location at UWGB. I don’t like the idea at all for many reasons: Staffing, ballot security, budget, etc. He is on the ballot for 25 of our wards.

..................I was reading the statutes and read: No site may be designated that affords an advantage to any political party. UWGB is a polling location for students and residents on election day but I feel by asking for this to be the site for early voting is encouraging the students to vote more than benefiting the city as a whole. I have heard it said that students lean more toward the Democrats and he [Genrich] is a Democrat. .........................

You left this part out.....

She also pointed to statutes that prohibit early voting sites that give a political party an advantage. She wrote she had heard students lean more toward Democrats and Genrich is a Democrat.

Sorry....and THIS part was also important.

Teske, stated...... that if she could open a satellite location, it would not be at UW-Green Bay because the campus is difficult to navigate and therefore students would likely be the only early voters in the city using it.

Translation: Too many damn democrats at UWGB......LOL

Which lends credence to statutes prohibit early voting sites that give a political party an advantage.

The clerk is following the law.

You really are fishing

Judge Finds Parts Of Wisconsin Voter ID Law Unconstitutional

U.S. District Judge Strikes Down Some Elements Of Law

Friday, July 29, 2016, 6:15pm

A federal judge in Madison has ruled in a case challenging more than a dozen of the state's election laws, striking down parts of Wisconsin's voter ID law and restrictions on early voting.

In a decision issued late Friday afternoon, U.S. District Judge James Peterson found the petition process for individuals who can't easily obtain a state-issued ID to be unconstitutional, as well as new time and location restrictions for in-person absentee voting.

In the 119-page ruling, Peterson wrote the state's voter ID law is "a cure worse than the disease."

"The Wisconsin experience demonstrates that a preoccupation with mostly phantom election fraud leads to real incidents of disenfranchisement, which undermine rather than enhance confidence in elections, particularly in minority communities," Peterson wrote.

Voter fraud is cited by proponents as a primary reason for voter ID legislation.

The judge's ruling dictates that the petition process in place for voters who can't easily obtain a state-issued ID must be reformed or replaced.

Peterson also ruled the state may not enforce restrictions on early voting that limit times and locations, saying they represent intentional racial discrimination.
