I have never heard of someone going to a job interview (which this obviously was) accompanied by someone to help with answering questions!

/——/ My friend is in HR, and it happens usually with recent grads with useless degrees. They bring in Mommy or Daddy who answer most of the questions and negotiate salary.
A few years ago the Dad showed up for his son’s interview alone. He said his son needed a break to decompress after graduation. He would be in Aruba for two weeks and could start work in three weeks. The Dad was escorted out of the building. The kid called my friend when he returned asking how the interview went and when could he start.
