The people who created the government decide what taxes are going to be. If you don't want to open the door of your house and let the homeless in, as Jesus said in Matthew, then the next best thing that you can do, is pay your taxes and allow your government to do it. It's that simple, but since you're one of these greasy-grace, worldly "Christians", who thinks he can skirt God's commandments and do whatever he wants, he pretends his charity is "voluntary". You're going to get a rude awakening when you meet your maker, after living with such a self-serving, miscreant attitude towards God''s commandments.
People like you have no problem spending $40 weekly on Pizza from Papa Johns, and then complain when your local or state government wants you to pay $10 weekly extra to house the homeless in your city. It's the end of the world when your community taxes you $40 monthly to house and feed the homeless, but that same $40 flies out of your wallet into the coffers of Papa Johns, weekly (not monthly, but weekly) for that large pizza, with cheesy bread. And supposedly you're still a disciple of Jesus Christ.
