The talking point about the republicans are the party of the rich did exist ... but doesn't now. Didn't Kamala outraise Trump in the 2024 election by around 800-900 million dollars? Where did that money come from? Especially since Harris got her butt kicked electorally by those who make less than 100k a year.
Yes according to Forbes, Kamala outraised Trump something like 5 to 1 in those last months after the Democrats threw Biden to the curb, almost all of it coming from billionaire donors who fund Democrats. That's all the good it did her, but then the women is pretty dense in the reasoning/competence department and is said to have squandered most of that money.
As the 'squandering' is more a result of speculation than verifiable fact, I prefer to think that all she did with the money was to illustrate how dense/clueless/really really incompetent that she actually is which helped Trump win the election easily.
Republican have never been the party of the rich--it was founded as the anti-slavery party--but rather became the party of mostly small business people. In recent years it is still the party of small business people but also the working class as it promotes maximum liberty, choices, options, opportunity and more ability for all to prosper, none of which the Democrats are offering.
But then the GOP is mostly--not all but mostly--MAGA with a vision, goals and objectives to restore America as a shining city on a hill, an example to the world of how liberty and opportunity can accomplish that in a way that government controls and programs cannot.
That is why I am appalled at talk of creating a third political party that would almost certainly split the GOP ranks much more than the Democrat and would likely put the Democrats back into power. If that should happen, all the good now being done will be reversed and the radicals that now make up all the leadership in the Democrat Party will ensure they never lose power again. I'm pretty sure that won't be legal or ethical, but they'll do it.
