This is pretty much a lot of what the VA Gov race is about. Spanberger, who is white/Jewish, is for preferential treatment, Winsome, who is black, is not.

Jay Jones was convicted of reckless driving for going 116 mph on I-64 in New Kent County in 2022. But he avoided jail time by doing half of his 1,000 hours of community service at his own political action committee out of his house, and not a nonprofit, which did not meet Virginia’s definition of community service and contravened standard judicial practice. Plus it directly benefited Jones’s own political network, raising conflict-of-interest and ethics concerns.​
