I'm not going to defend any top politicians. They'll do whatever they want with the power they've got, hence why there's a separation of powers.

Politics is getting dangerous, one side will up the ante and then the other will have to match them for it or do worse.

I'm sure the DOJ has been weaponized thousands of times in its history.

However calling something "a war" like you did excuses so much of what could happen. Wars take murder and legitimize it, make it okay. A soldier who kills is a hero, as long as he's killing the right people.

That's far worse than weaponizing the DOJ. However, I am a person who has spent more than a decade on here talking about Proportional Representation in order to make US politics better, more democratic, safer, more about the will of the people, and with more oversight from the people.
