Ohhh....the Waldorf salad!! YUM!

I will put the ingredientes on my list when I go to the supermarket!

For me chicken ala king over rice, Ginger ale salad mold, stuffed crabs, deviled eggs, pine apple upside down cake with some top class hot coffee.

Can we go back to the 1920s? I'd love it ....he-he

No we can't LOL:tongue:

I'm sure the quality of the food was much better as well!!!

I would love to see a lot of these at a party. The folks back in the 1920s knew how to do it.

1920s? I grew up on that stuff! When did it go out of vogue? I bet a third to half the stuff in that video we just had over the last 24 hours with or leading up to Thanksgiving!

The one thing there I never had I'd like to try is that first one the fruit salad made with ginger ale.

We had stuffed mushrooms, deviled eggs and pineapple upside down cake between yesterday and today. Why would anyone NOT want to eat this stuff?

Fresh from the oven baked stuffed mushroom caps smell so good and are DELICIOUS.
Deviled eggs, you can never have enough. And
pineapple upside down cake when it is crispy and caramelized on top is to die for.

For a while I would bring to family events...deviled eggs with a sausage link on each & topped with a sprinkle of shredded cheddar...everybody loved them!

I never tried sausage, I like my deviled eggs spicy. But I can make a meal on stuffed mushroom caps! If you can, what is really cool is if you have a wild foods expert in the family who can find a bunch of unusual wild mushrooms in the woods for an added look and flavor twist.

I only made those once...Stuffed with ham & cheese cooked in a white wine. They were pretty darn tasty.

I never had them that way. Most people stuff them with creme cheese, parmesan, bread crumbs and a few other things and bake them.

Home cooking. The first girl is the type I wanted to meet as a young man. This video sort of fits here ,not the 1920s but from the more recent past.
