The proposal to recruit them to be poll workers makes a lot of sense. Who more are ready to defend the integrity of our most basic freedom – and responsibility?

However, part of the answer lies in involving more veterans and making sure the poll workers reflect the diversity of the voters they are serving. Every time election officials engage current and former members of the armed services, we learn something different about how veterans experience voting and ways we can help make that process easier.

Makes a whole lot of sense. This is written by Matthew V. Masterson, the Chairman of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. The full story is @ Defend vets by making voting more accessible to them

Given the left's hatred for anything having to do with the American military, they would claim that they're being "disenfranchised".

Good idea, good article.

We'd have to beat back an attack from the little old ladies that run the polls in my town
