Full of cares and hopes and dreams,
No thoughts to kill or die it seems,
Males when given half a chance,
trained, led, with weapon will advance!
Fire!, repeat, Thrust bayonet.....
None in any generation yet
unborn can say men will not fight.
Lest all they know sink out of sight.

where are you?
Assyrians,
Trojans,
Is it true?
Hyksos,
Byzantines ,
in fact,
You were trampled, slaughtered when last attacked.
They fell before the battle raged.
Their wont to live and grow decayed.
Like the British,
Like the French,
This enemy is at our door.
And we debate whats worth fighting for.
