Vertical Farming has come a long way over the last few years. With some amazing new technology, crop yields are increasing while resources required to produce new crops is falling sharply. Can Vertical Farming take the place of traditional farming in the near future ?

Wait. There's more.

In Europe some of the big cities are converting their huge bomb shelters into vertical farms.

while vertical is a great option in some cases, its still cheaper and better if you can grow in dirt if you have it to grow in,,,

If you live in a good climate with cheap water, yeah.
the cost of water is irrelevant when you have to spend millions on a building and infrastructure for a big vertical system,,,
but as I said in some cases it works great,,,

A srewball idea to say the least. Take a flight across any substantial hunk of farmland and try to image even 10% of it indoors and artificially illuminated. STOOPID! Really really STOOPID!

what your seeing is mostly grain crops for feed and not table vegetables,,,

and context and location is the main reason for vertical,,
